Get ALEX!
ALEX really shines when used for Fee Demo tracking.
No need to calculate the usual 80%, 15% and 5% for every
collection. Simply set up the Fee Demo site with
the appropriate Job Codes and ALEX does the breakdown
for you every time you post a collection from the site.
You will always know on the same day that you post the
collection how much money is available to spend
for each Fee Demo site. FFIS does not track your money
to the site level. You need ALEX for that.
Testimonials
"ALEX is easy to install and to update! New suggestions
that work for everyone are quickly implemented! They have redefined terrific
customer support!" -Beth Berrien-Clark of Seward RD, Alaska
"Needless to say I am sold on ALEX... Over the years we at the
District level have had various methods of setting up, maintaining and tracking
our accounting records... The question was asked over and over....why can't a
program be developed to incorporate the work plans (PWPS) and tracking
records....well...Finally Barbara Harper, SSS on the Tallulah RD found
this programmer that seemed to know what he was doing and lo and
behold...Barbara would show him what we needed and he would develop it! ... Mr.
Tom Kinser! and those of us that know Tom...feel that he knows more about how
the FS budget and financial programs work than a lot of folks that are
specialists." -Gay Ledford of Tusquitee RD, North Carolina
"The ALEX program seems to help a lot with budget." -Robbin Adams
of Uwharrie RD, North Carolina
ALEX has been designed to assist in
planning and managing federal funds and fee collections for all Districts of the United States Forest Service.
ALEX was initially developed under the direction of Barbara Harper at the Tallulah Ranger District in
Clayton, GA. Additional updates to the system have been implemented after
recommendations from other District, Supervisor and Regional Offices.
The current version of ALEX is written in Microsoft Visual Basic and
Access. ALEX requires Microsoft Office XP. ALEX will be ported over
to Office 2003 and .NET as soon as the United States Forest Service supports
either.
